Lehja 30

Your ideas are already good. In thirty days, make sure they land the first time you say them.

لہجہ lehja — the way you sound. Your accent, your tone, your delivery.

Free. No sign-up, no account, and nothing you record leaves your device.

Who this is for

You already speak English well.
You want to be easier to listen to.

People ask you to repeat yourselfNot because of your grammar. Because word endings disappear.
You have interviews or presentations comingAnd you want to sound as capable as you are.
You speak fast when you are nervousPace, pauses and endings go first under pressure.
Your answers run longYou know it while it is happening and cannot stop.
B2–C2Upper-intermediate to advanced. If you are still building vocabulary, this is not the right course yet.
35 minA day, done aloud. Thirty days. No streaks to protect, no subscription.
18+Written for working professionals, researchers and graduate students.
Built around the sounds these speakers actually struggle with
UrduHindi PunjabiBengali ArabicSpanish PortugueseItalian

The sound work was written for South Asian speakers — the retroflex T and D, the merged V and W. Twenty-eight of the thirty days apply just as directly to Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian speakers, who share the same syllable-timed rhythm, the same five-vowel habit, and the same missing /z/.

Not a beginner English course. Not accent removal. Not a chatbot conversation partner.
The whole point

You record the same answer twice, thirty days apart

On Day 1 you answer “tell me about yourself” with no preparation, and you do not listen to it again. On Day 30 you answer the same question and play the two back to back. Everything in between is aimed at that one comparison.

Day 1
Rushed, uneven, endings dropped
Day 30
Even pace, real pauses, endings landed

Illustration of the shape of the change, not a recording. Yours will be your own.

What changes in thirty days
Word endings stop disappearingWorked, asked, discussed, changed — heard, not swallowed.
Your rhythm stops being flatOne strong syllable, the rest light. This is the biggest single change.
Statements stop sounding like questionsA falling ending reads as certainty. It is trainable in a day.
Silence replaces the fillerTwo seconds of nothing instead of “basically”, “actually”, “you know”.
Answers end when they are finishedFive, fifteen, thirty and sixty-second versions of the same answer.
Pressure stops speeding you upHostile questions, interruptions, and saying “I don’t know” well.
Inside a day

Six blocks, thirty-five minutes, all of it aloud

Open the day and everything is on the page. No hunting for practice material, no deciding what to do.

Day 11 · read aloud
There are two questions in front of us, / and only one of them is technical. // The first is whether the method is sound. / The second is whether the organisation is ready to act on what it tells us.
/ short breath// full stop of the voice /// three-second resethighlighted words carry the weight
Mouth-position diagramsA cross-section for every sound, with the common mistake drawn beside the correct position.
A coach that tells you what to redoRead a line aloud; the app scores which words were not recognised and names the day to revisit.
Model answers at four lengthsThe same answer in five, fifteen, thirty and sixty seconds. Stopping is the skill.
Ten appendicesStress dictionary, phrase bank, sixty everyday lines to memorise, and how to answer the questions families actually ask.

Keep it on your phone
  1. Open the programme on the phone you will actually use each morning.
  2. Tap the share icon — the square with an arrow on iPhone, the three dots on Android.
  3. Choose “Add to Home Screen”. It opens full screen, works without a connection, and remembers where you are.
  4. Allow the microphone the first time you record, so the benchmarks and the pronunciation check work.

Your progress, scores, notes and recordings stay on the device. Nothing is uploaded and no one else can see them. Read the privacy statement

Who made it

Created by Dr Shaher Bano Mirza

Lehja 30 was created by Dr Shaher Bano Mirza, who leads Shamrock Academic Studio, and grew out of the same question that runs through the studio’s editing work: not what you are trying to say, but whether it reaches the person listening.

Shamrock Academic Studio works on language editing, proofreading and structural coaching for researchers and professionals. Lehja 30 applies the same principle to speech — we do not speak for you, we make what you already have easier to hear.
